The Great Denial Machine

Learn how the big oil companies hired a marketing firm to spin global warming scientific facts to confuse the public - using the same marketing firm that the tobacco industry did to confuse the public about cigarettes and cancer. Bob McKeown, investigative reporter, uncovers the roots of another kind of campaign - one to negate the science and the threat of global warming in order to buy big oil time. NASA Scientist, Jim Hansen, states that CEO's of fossil energy companies should be tried for high crimes against humanity and nature. This documentary was aired on Canadian television - not in the United States. A real eye opener that must be watched.

Since 1998, Exxon (also known as Esso & Mobil) has funded $23 million towards the climate denial industry! More than a decade-long campaign by Exxon-funded front groups - and the scientists they work with - to deny the urgency of the scientific consensus on global warming and delay action to fix the problem.
